 Wetsuits.

Wetsuits can be worn in all Epic events, but are not compulsory. Wetsuits may not be worn in the New Zealand Championship races which are run under FINA rules.

Swimming New Zealand would like to thank the Tuwharetoa Maori Trust Board for providing access to Lake Taupo. Please help us protect the future of Lake Taupo from Didymo and other pest. Wetsuits can very easily carry the Didymo disease and other pests picked up from other water ways around the world. Lake Taupo is currently Didymo free and with your support it can stay this way for many more years. With the support of the Department of Conservation all athletes must have their wetsuits dipped prior to registration.

 Revive & Restore Massage.

Once again in 2016 Revive and Restore Massage will be onsite to provide massages to competitors prior to and following races. The charge is $1 per minute. Massages can also be received at The Massage Clinic, 30 Heu Heu St, Taupo on the Friday preceding the Epic Swims. To make a reservations call or text Paulette on 027 241 8586027 241 8586.
